- Use a vacuum cleaner or light brushing action with a soft, clean cloth to remove superficial dust or dirt. Once the dirt has been removed, gently rinse the stained area with clean water.
- Non-grease stains (such as chocolate, mustard, ketchup, coffee or red wine): Pour 1⁄4 cup of a neutral detergent into 1 cup of lukewarm water. Dip a clean, damp sponge into the solution and gently tap the stain with the sponge, working outward from the center of the stain. Do not rub the stain. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Air dry.
- Grease-based stains (such as oil, butter or lipstick): Dip a clean cloth or sponge into 100% volatile solvent acetone and gently rub the stain. Once stain is removed, use a neutral detergent solution (see above) and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Air dry.
- To disinfect, we recommend using a solution of 70% rubbing alcohol to 30% water. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and gently rub the stain.
- For stubborn stains, professional cleaning is recommended.
- Remove or cover outdoor cushions during rainy weather to prevent water soaking through to the cushion core. Air dry cushions if they become soaked.
IMPORTANT: Do not use spot and stain removers, solvent-based detergents, bleach or hydrogen peroxide-based solutions. Such cleaners tend to damage the resistance of the yarns and lessen their colorfastness, reducing the fabric’s suitability for outdoor use
